It's designed to run on a standard Linux VPS without any additional licensing costs.
For new deployments we recommend IncrediblePBX 2027 on Ubuntu 22.04 - it is the latest release and will receive updates and community support through 2027. IncrediblePBX 2022 on Rocky Linux 8 is a solid alternative if you are more comfortable with RHEL-based environments or are migrating from an existing CentOS system.
After your VPS is provisioned, log in to CrownPanel and use the Reinstall option. Select your preferred IncrediblePBX template from the OS list and confirm the reinstall. Yes. IncrediblePBX supports any standard SIP trunk - Vonage, Twilio, VoIP.ms, and others. You configure your trunk credentials through the FreePBX web interface after installation. The VPS has no restrictions on outbound SIP traffic.
No. A DID (Direct Inward Dialing) number is obtained separately from a SIP trunk provider of your choice. The VPS provides the telephony infrastructure; your trunk provider supplies the phone numbers and PSTN connectivity.
Yes - plan upgrades are available from the client area. Your data is preserved during the upgrade. If you need more RAM, vCores, or storage as your call volume grows, simply open a support ticket or upgrade from the client area.
Yes, full root SSH access is included on every plan. You are free to install additional Asterisk modules, customize FreePBX, or tune the OS as needed.
You can, but it is not recommended. IncrediblePBX is resource-sensitive - particularly for audio processing and call recording. Running web servers or databases on the same VPS can cause audio quality issues under load. If you need additional services, consider a separate VPS.
