Common questions

Reseller hosting lets you purchase a block of server resources (disk, bandwidth, accounts) and subdivide them among your own clients. You set up and manage client accounts via WHM, and each client gets their own cPanel interface to manage their websites and email.

It's the foundation of a hosting business - you own the client relationship, set your own prices, and brand it under your name.
WHM (WebHost Manager) is the reseller-level control panel - it sits above cPanel. From WHM you create and manage cPanel accounts, set resource limits, view server-wide usage, configure nameservers, and handle account-level operations like suspension or termination.

cPanel is what each of your clients uses to manage their individual hosting account: files, email, databases, DNS. You access WHM; your clients access cPanel.
Yes. You can set your company name and logo in WHM, configure private nameservers under your own domain (e.g., ns1.yourcompany.com and ns2.yourcompany.com), and customize the cPanel login page branding. Your clients interact entirely with your brand - CrownCloud is not visible to them.
When you create a client account in WHM, you assign a cPanel hosting package that defines the resource limits for that account - disk space, monthly bandwidth, number of email accounts, databases, and so on. You can create multiple packages (e.g., Basic, Standard, Premium) and assign them to clients as needed. Limits can be changed at any time from WHM.
Overselling allows you to allocate more resources across your client accounts than your reseller plan technically holds - on the assumption that not all clients will use their full allocation simultaneously. Whether you enable or disable overselling is configurable in WHM. We don't impose a policy on it from our side, but recommend using it conservatively.
Yes. You can upgrade your reseller plan from the client portal at any time. Existing client accounts are unaffected - you simply gain additional disk, bandwidth, and account capacity. You're charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your billing cycle.
As a reseller, you handle first-line support for your clients directly. Our support team is available to you (the reseller) for infrastructure issues, server-level problems, and platform questions. Your clients interact with you, not with us - that's the white-label model.
